Network Fix when Upgrading to vSphere 7.0 U1b on Gen8 Intel NUC

Laurens van Duijn saved my bacon when vSphere 7.0 U1 came out. As he points out the new NE1000 driver is broken for my Gen8 NUCs.

Well I just installed ESXi 7.0 Update 1b and of course this is still an issue, fortunately his original instructions are still a valid fix.

Here is the update command you'll need for the 7.0 U1b patch.

esxcli software profile update -p ESXi-7.0U1b-17168206-standard -d /vmfs/volumes/YOURDATASTORE/VMware-ESXi-7.0U1b-17168206-depot.zip
